Mohd Kopli began his career at Malakoff in 1995 as an Instrumentation Technician within the Maintenance Department and later transitioned to the Production Department. Over time, he progressed through various roles within the Production Department, including as Shift Supervisor, Head of Shift, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Specialist, Head of Production, and ultimately achieving the position of Plant Manager at Tanjung Bin Power Plant (TBPP) from July 2018 until March 2023.
He was later appointed as the Head of O&M and Commercial, which he held from April 2023 until March 2024, before assuming his current role as Senior Vice President, Local Generation Division. Mohd Kopli graduated from the University Technology of Malaysia with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and also possesses a competency certificate as a Steam Engineer Grade 1.
