We are looking for a strategic and experienced professional to lead our Corporate Communications team in driving impactful narratives, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and enhancing internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communication Planning

Develop and implement the Corporate Communications Plan of Action (POA), ensuring alignment with the Group’s strategic goals and monthly themes.

Collaborate with internal units (CA & CB) to streamline communication strategies across departments.

Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the POA to ensure intended outcomes.
Group-Wide Communication Coordination

Coordinate communication plans across Malakoff and its subsidiaries under all three business pillars.

Align and implement communication initiatives between Malakoff and Alam Flora.

Monitor results and identify opportunities for synergy and improvement.
Team Leadership and Development

Ensure team members are equipped with the necessary tools, skills, and knowledge to execute communication activities effectively.

Provide mentorship, conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, and motivate the team toward achieving communication objectives.
Content Development and Review

Craft and review high-impact content for press releases, speeches, annual reports, and social media postings in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Ensure content is consistent, clear, and aligned with corporate branding and strategic messaging.
Media Relations Management

Build and maintain strong working relationships with mainstream, online, and alternative media.

Engage regularly with media personnel and editorial teams, and organise media-related events to strengthen brand visibility.
Stakeholder Engagement

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and media liaison units.

Drive continuous engagement to maintain confidence in the company and its brands.
Crisis Communication and Reputation Management

Develop and execute crisis communication plans to safeguard the company’s public image.

Draft timely responses, monitor public sentiment, and work closely with relevant departments during crisis situations.
Budget and Resource Coordination

Collaborate with internal units to plan and manage the department’s annual budget.

Assess resource needs and present justifications to management to ensure sufficient support for planned initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements

Proven experience in corporate communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team.

Excellent communication and writing skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
