What you’ll be doing
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to corporate secretarial matters
- Providing advice and guidance to the Board of Directors, senior management, and other key stakeholders on corporate governance best practices
- Overseeing the preparation and distribution of board and board committee meeting materials, including agendas, minutes, and resolutions
- Managing the company’s statutory registers, filings, and other corporate records
- Coordinating the organisation’s annual general meetings and other shareholder meetings
- Serving as the primary point of contact for external parties, such as regulators and auditors, on corporate secretarial matters
- Mentoring and supervising the corporate secretarial team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
What we’re looking for
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in a corporate secretarial role, preferably within a large, publicly listed organization
- Understand and familiar with listing requirement
- In-depth knowledge of Malaysian corporate laws, regulations, and best practices
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and their practical application
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Proficient in the use of relevant software and technology to support corporate secretarial functions
- A proven track record of leading and developing a team of corporate secretarial professionals
- A relevant professional qualification, such as a law degree or a company secretarial certification, is highly desirable
