
Arnie Azlina Omar, aged 44, a Malaysian, holds a Master of Engineering Management and Bachelor of Electrical Power Engineering from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia.
She joined as the Head of Solar of the Company on 27 July 2021.
She began her career with Tenaga Nasional Berhad ("TNB") in 2001 as a Project Engineer. During her 11-year tenure at TNB, she was instrumental in the development of Renewable Energy ("RE") initiatives in Malaysia, particularly on Solar Photovoltaic ("PV") - Battery Hybrid System, Solar PV-Wind-Battery Hybrid System for off-grid application, and Oil Palm Biomass Power Plant. Prior to joining Malakoff, she had held several positions at PETRONAS New Energy, GE Energy Storage, MYBiomass Sdn. Bhd. and UiTM Energy and Facilities Sdn. Bhd., where she led her team in project deliveries, operations and business strategy for the local and international market.
Throughout her 20 years of experience in the RE industry, she has completed two Large Scale Solar ("LSS") PV Plants with a capacity of 50 MWac and 30 MWac respectively, rooftop solar projects with a capacity of more than 40 MWp, Solar PV Hybrid System for off-grid application with a capacity of more than 1 MWp, GE Durathon® Sodium Nickel Battery system for off-grid applications and the development of bio-refinery projects producing green chemicals from oil palm empty fruit bunches. She has also successfully closed the Green SRI Sukuk, amounting to RM222 million for 50 MWac LSS for UiTM Solar Power in 2018.
Currently, as Head of Solar, she leads the development of Solar PV business for both the local and international markets. She also spearheads the development of strategic projects such as Electric Vehicle ("EV") charging and energy storage for future sustainable growth.
