As part of Malakoff’s appreciation for the continued support of its key stakeholders, MCB KL Sports Club organised the first friendly GROUP futsal match for Year 2012 last Saturday (28 April 2012) over at Ferro Futsal in Taman Perindustrian Subang.

This event brought together sporting Staff of Malakoff, the Energy Commission (EC), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), MIDA, MRCB and AMInvestment Bank.

Officiated by En. Nazli Sam, the games kicked off at 8.00am. This friendly round-robin saw the participation of 140 players comprising of 14 Men’s Teams and 7 Women’s with each team fielding 7 players.

Malakoff & EC emerged as champions for the Men’s and Women’s games respectively.

Each Team Leader had earlier stepped up to collect goodie bags & their customised, branded futsal jerseys. In true sporting spirit, teams don these jerseys during the matches and added much colour to the game.

As a token of appreciation, a small trophy and an Adidas Tango 12 futsal ball were also given to each Company. These were accepted by the Team Managers.

The Leading Teams (Men & Women) walked away with RM1050 in Jaya Jusco vouchers while the 1st runner ups received RM700 in Jusco vouchers. Teams who came in 3rd & 4th were also treated to RM350 worth of Jusco vouchers per team.

Md Yuha Ismail of Malakoff’s Corporate Affairs Department, represented the Senior Management in handing out the trophies & gift vouchers to the happy players.

Kudos to the MCB KL Sport Club championed by Mohamad Hirman Saban and his able Committee of futsal enthusiasts, for organizing such fun event so well.
