The highly-anticipated Malakoff Golf Invitational (Media) 2013 was held on 23 March 2013 at Palm Garden Golf Club, IOI Resort City, Putrajaya. A total of 80 golfers, comprising media practitioners, editors, journalists and Malakoff staff made their way to the club as early as 7.00am to participate in this annual tournament.

The friendly tournament was a way for us to thank the media partners for their relentless support and coverage of Malakoff’s activities over the years. It was also a good avenue for us to catch up with them in a more relaxed environment, as part of our engagement with our stakeholders.

YBhg Dato’ Wira Syed Abdul Jabbar Syed Hassan, Chairman of Malakoff Corporation conveyed his appreciation to the media and also hoped that the good working relationship between the media and Malakoff will remain.

Imran Mohamad Nor from Utusan Malaysia was once again champion of this year’s tournament, followed by Aznan Bakar (Utusan Malaysia) and Rasid Rahaman (Berita Harian), with prizes presented by YBhg Datuk Dr Syed Muhammad Syed Abdul Kadir, a member of Malakoff’s board of directors. For Novelties categories, Ismadi Abdul Manap (RTM) won the Nearest To Pin, while YBhg Dato’ Manja Ismail (TV3) won Nearest To Line, and Zulkifli Othman (Bernama) won Longest Drive during the tournament.

Also present at the event to give away the prizes was En Azhari Sulaiman, Senior Vice President, Ventures 1 division, Malakoff Corporation Berhad.
