Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) in collaboration with JKKK Segari successfully organised a Karnival Sukan Rakyat Segari on 16 December 2017. This carnival is part of Malakoff’s continuous efforts to strengthen the relationship with the local community where it operates.

More than 150 locals of all ages including Malakoff staff participated in the family-oriented games which was held at Padang Sekolah Kebangsaan Segari over the weekend. The carnival started with a bold silat demonstration by school children followed by opening remarks from En. Mohd Salehuddin Abu Bakar, Plant Manager of Lumut Power Plant.

In his opening remarks, En Salehuddin said that he was humbled by the support received from the local community. “This is my first time participating in this sukan rakyat with the community here. It is exciting to get to know them and be part of this fun-filled tele-match games.”

“I hope our collaboration with JKK Segari for this sukan rakyat will strengthen our relationship and bring us closer together,” he added.

A total of 8 games were competed during the carnival such as gol terbalik, longest human line, water balloon, blind telepathy, radio karat, find the candy and kertas terbang.

The carnival ended with a prize giving ceremony by En. Salehuddin to all winners. Malakoff would like to thank everyone especially the local community in Segari for participating in this carnival.
