Malakoff successfully launched its Management Development Programme on 1 November 2018 at the Malakoff Academy of Excellence. The objective of the programme is to develop potential talents in the middle management level to support Malakoff’s growth in the future.
The programme, involving 50 participants from the Manager and Assistant Manager levels, was launched by Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad Kenali, CEO of Malakoff.
Speaking at the launch, Dato’ Fuaad said that by embarking on this programme, potential talents will be developed to enhance Malakoff's succession plan. “If the programme is executed effectively, Malakoff will have a pool of talented managers that will preserve the Company’s core values, working in a high-performance culture and therefore, will bring the Company to the next level.”
The Malakoff Management Development Programme, is a 9-month intensive training that will expose the participants to the themes of managing self, managing others and managing business.
In his remarks, Dato’ Fuaad reminded everyone about the 4 E’s of Leadership, a model developed by Jack Welch of General Electric and encouraged the participants to learn from it. The 4 E’s are Energy, Energise, Edge, and Execute. “You must have the energy to energise your team and have the edge by improving your knowledge and skill sets. In this way, your execution capability will vastly improve,” he added.
Lastly, Dato’ Fuaad hopes that this programme will be a fulfilling journey for everyone.
