On 1 May 2016, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff) appreciates its long-serving employees in an awards ceremony held in conjunction with the Malakoff Sports Carnival, at the Georgetown City Hotel, Penang. A total of 85 long-serving employees consisting of 48 recipients for the 20 years awards, 24 recipients for the 15 years and 13 recipients for the 10 years, were celebrated as appreciation of their long and proud careers with the Company.
Habib Husin, Executive Vice President, Operations of Malakoff presented the award to the recipients. Speaking at the event, he said “I would like to express my deepest thanks to our long-serving staff on the sacrifices and contributions they had given during their working time with Malakoff.”
“I hope this award will be a morale booster for other colleagues to continue serving with Malakoff by working diligently for the good of the Company and its employees,” added him.
During the award dinner, all LTSA recipients were given certificates and cash as a symbol of appreciation and recognition for their contributions to the Company.
In conjunction with the Long Term Service Award, a fun-filled sports event called the Malakoff Sports Carnival was held earlier at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang for two days. This event was aimed at strengthening the working relationship between Malakoff staff in a more relaxed environment. A total of 325 participants from 6 teams, namely KLHQ, Tanjung Bin Power, Tanjung Bin Energy, Prai Power, Port Dickson Power and Lumut Power Plant took part in ten outdoor and indoor games, such as football, futsal, bowling, dart, ping pong, tennis, badminton, carom, sepak takraw and volleyball.
This year, the team from Lumut Power Plant gained the highest point and was named as the overall champion of Malakoff Sports Carnival at the prize-giving ceremony. Congratulations to Lumut Power Plant!
