TBPP’s Plant Manager Encik Mohd Kopli Yunus with the local authorities of Pontian.
In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (“Malakoff”) organised a series of Iftar programmes with the key stakeholders from areas where Malakoff power plants operate. With strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”), The events were held in Pontian (Johor), Manjung (Perak) and Prai (Penang) on 5th April, 21st April and 26th April 2022, respectively, while adhering to strict Standard Operating Procedures (“SOPs”).
Attended by the Plant Manager of Tanjung Bin Power Plant Encik Mohd Kopli Yunus, the Plant Manager of Lumut Power Plant Encik Lan Sukaimy and the Plant Manager of Prai Power Plant Encik Mat Nasir Mohamed, the Iftar sessions were aimed at further strengthening our working relationships with the local authorities and regulators in Pontian, Manjung and Prai. Guests included representatives from the District Offices, Local Town Councils, Department of Environment, and Department of Occupational Safety & Health and Energy Commission.
More than 200 attendees came to enjoy the iftar spread as it has been two years since Ramadhan events such as these were held.
Malakoff hopes that with these continuous engagement activities, we will be able to work closely with the local authorities and industry regulators to strengthen our relationship while materialising a common vision together.
