Malakoff Organises Friendly Bowling Tournament with Johor Authorities

21 September 2023

On 21 September 2023, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (“Malakoff”) held its annual friendly bowling tournament with the Johor Authorities comprising Pontian District Office, Pontian Land Registry, Department of Occupational Safety and Health (“DOSH”) Johor, Department of Environment (“DOE”) Johor and Johor Water Regulatory Body (“BAKAJ”) at Plaza Angsana in Johor Bahru. Aimed at cultivating stronger working relationships with Malakoff’s key stakeholders, the event was attended by 60 representatives from all participating companies.

The occasion also provided a chance for the working-level group to enagage and acquaint themselves with each other, as despite having collaborated on numerous occasions, many of them had never crossed paths prior to this event.

The event followed a two-round structure, providing opportunities for participants to lay the groundwork before showcasing their skills in friendly competition while vying for victory.

After close to two hours, the champion for the Group category emerged consisting of Musrijohar Kushairi Kamal and Sallahooddin Hasan from Malakoff Engineering Sdn Bhd (“MESB”), and Zaiful Fadly Zawawi and Muhammad Syawan Mahadi from Tanjung Bin Energy (“TBE”), whereas for the Individual category, Hairul Jefri from TBE won the first place.

Malakoff’s Senior Manager of Group Communications and Branding, Encik Md Yuha Ismail handed over the prizes to the top ten Individual winners and top three Group winners.

This initiative is part of Malakoff’s continuous engagement with its key stakeholders through activities that can further cultivate the spirit of ‘silaturrahim’ while enhancing our working relationship towards fulfilling shared goals and objectives. It is also in line with our commitment towards the UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 17 that encourages stronger partnerships that will contribute to environmental protection and sustainable development.

We would like to thank everyone involved for the camaraderie and great display of sportsmanship, and we hope to see you again next time.
