The award was presented by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The award was given to a “glocal” employer that is productive, caring and responsive to the working environment here and abroad and subsequently boosts Malaysia’s image internationally.

Speaking on the award, Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff, Dato’ Sri Syed Faisal Albar said, “Malakoff is honoured to receive this award that recognizes our efforts to be a world-class employer committed to provide a healthy working environment through various employee engagement activities and programmes.”

On workplace development, Malakoff’s HR programmes are aimed at developing, achieving and sustaining a culture of effective and satisfying ways to work together. As an extension to the workplace, Malakoff’s award-winning CSR initiatives are also highly engaging. Over the years, Malakoff’s mangrove conservation, coral rehabilitation and other habitat preservation activities also received many national and regional awards from both non-governmental and governmental agencies. “The various activities carried out by Malakoff do not only benefit the Company, but also bring the workforce together as it creates a sense of belonging and camaraderie amongst staff through their involvement in such activities, concluded Syed Faisal.
