Malakoff Corporation Berhad (“Malakoff”) bagged two Gold awards at the Regional Innovation Showcase on Team Excellence (“RISTEx”) 2020 organised by Malaysia Productivity Corporation (“MPC”) on 30 September 2020. Malakoff was bestowed with the awards for two of its projects - Tanjung Bin Power Plant (“TBPP”) Minor Outage Cost Optimisation and Lumut Power Plant (“LPP”) Inventory Value Optimisation.

RISTEx 2020 aims to promote and intensify improvement in productivity while enhancing the competitiveness and profitability of an organisation. Productivity is also seen as a “game changer” in moving Malaysia towards becoming a developed economy and an inclusive country.

The recognition is indeed timely as the company has been at the forefront of carrying several initiatives across the Group to enhance its operational efficiency. Receiving the awards on behalf of Malakoff were the following winning teams:

LPP Project Team - En. Adi Faimi Mohamed Hanif (leader), En. Mohd Norazamshah Md Anoorhak, En. Mohamad Saedan Samad and En. Mohd Asrulnizam Kasim

TBPP Project Team - En. Habil Md Noor (leader), Pn. Norfinaz Khairuddin, Pn. Aernie Othman, En. Syed Mohd Syafiq and En. Saiful Nizam Abas.

The two teams will then be competing against the selected best in the industry at the 10th Annual Productivity and Innovation Conference and Exposition (“APIC 2020”) this month.
