Malakoff Working Arrangement During Control Movement Order

In line with the Government’s directive to enforce a Control Movement Order nationwide as announced by the Prime Minister yesterday, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (“Malakoff”) has decided to implement a Work from Home (“WFH”) arrangement to be effective from 18 March (Wednesday) until 31 March 2020 (Tuesday) to all Malakoff KLHQ staff at Plaza Sentral, Kuala Lumpur.

However, this arrangement excludes all our domestic plants (Tanjung Bin Power Plant, Tanjung Bin Energy Power Plant, Lumut Power Plant & Prai Power Plant) and Malakoff Utilities Sdn Bhd (“MUSB”) personnel as they fall under “essential services” and are required to continue operating as normal during this 14-day Control Movement Order.

MUSB will operate as normal at Plaza Sentral with the following changes:

  • Customer Service Office will be closed to customers and third parties, but all CSAs will be present in office to attend to customer queries.

  • Payments will be done online, or via cheque drop-in box.

  • Applications for electricity can be done through email (or customers can drop in their applications in our drop-in box).

  • Billing and CC activities go on as normal, except for temporary suspension of disconnection activities

Malakoff will continue to monitor the situation and we’ll update all our stakeholders accordingly. In the meantime, you may contact the following contact person-in-charge should you have any queries: -
