Malakoff Corporation Berhad organised a friendly bowling tournament between the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC), Energy Commission (ST) and Malakoff on 14 December 2018 at Wangsa Bowl, IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. The annual event, comprising 60 bowlers, was aimed to strengthen the networking and working relationship between Malakoff and its stakeholders through sports.

The event commenced with an officiating throw by En. Kamarul Ariffin Ibrahim, Director of Strategic Planning and Communication from ST.

As they seldom got the chance to get together like this, the players took this opportunity to get to know each other better and chit chat in a relaxed and fun atmosphere after a busy week at work.

“It’s great to be able to take part in the game today. This is a good platform to promote camaraderie between the stakeholders and Malakoff and to get to know more friends in the industry,” said Siti Rohana Samudian from ST.

After two rounds of bowling, the scores were tabulated and Group 2, consisting of Mohd Nurul Nizam (MESTECC), Mohd Khusairi Mohamed Yunus (MESTECC), Nor Hazwani Mohd Ghazali (ST) and Izzul Izwan Ismail (Malakoff), emerged as the champion in the Group category with 1,041 pin falls.

In the Individual category, Mohd Nurul Nizam (MESTECC) and Mohamad Hilmi Ibrahim (ST) were announced as the Best Bowlers with a total of 294 and 302 pin falls respectively.

Prizes to all winners were presented by Ir. Mohd Shokri Daud, Senior Vice President of Local Generation Division, Malakoff.
