On 22 and 29 June 2019 Malakoff organised an educational camp, for the second year running, to better prepare UPSR students for their upcoming examinations by providing study and exam tips, as part of a series of education initiatives planned for schools in Mukim Serkat this year. 147 Standard 6 students from seven primary schools located in Mukim Serkat attended the “Kem Kecemerlangan Mencapai Tahap Minima (MTM) UPSR 2019 Bersama Malakoff” which took place at SK Andek Mori and SK Serkat.
Over a period of two days, the students had various workshops which taught essential skills for their upcoming exams such as time management, various study tips, and were equipped with methods on answering questions as well as other exam-related techniques.
“Malakoff hopes that by organising this camp, every child here can gain an advantage at achieving excellent results during their upcoming exams. By providing the tools for the students to succeed, hopefully students from Mukim Serkat will emerge as top scorers in the UPSR,” said En. Mohd Kopli Yunus, Plant Manager of Tanjung Bin Power Plant.
En. Roslan Bokari, Penghulu of Mukim Serkat who was also present at the closing ceremony congratulated the attendees of the camp, “every student here deserves a pat on the back for attending this camp. You have sacrificed your time during the festive season to focus on your studies, well done to all of you.”
Nur Shahira Danish bt Danial Jong, a Standard 6 Student from SK Sungai Durian, aims to score all A’s for her UPSR examinations, “I thoroughly enjoyed learning about answering techniques and exam preparations from this camp. Thank you to Malakoff for giving us the opportunity to better prepare ourselves for our UPSR.”
Last year, a total of 156 Standard 6 students and their parents attended the camp at Tanjung Piai Resort, Johor.
