We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Malakoff Half Century Ride 80km, the first half century ride in Malaysia for road bikes which will be held in Lumut, Perak on Sunday 18th November 2012.
A great opportunity to experience this spectacular ride, with riders enjoying fantastic scenic views of the Manjung district, on an uncrowded course through the breathtaking sights of the coast line, finishing at the beautiful Marina Island Pangkor in Lumut.
The Malakoff Half Century Ride 80km is a one day cycling event for road bikes. It presents a unique opportunity to road cyclist from around the region to participate in the non-competitive event catered to cyclist of all levels of aptitude from the beginner who is out for the challenge of completing their 50 miles (80km) in the company of friends and strangers, and the experienced, who sees this as an opportunity to beat their previous best times. This new 50 miles (80km) ride is a great introduction to encourage families to participate in cycling.
Safety and rider experience a'la Malakoff are ensured for all riders as the Ride includes the marshal and the Police, with support from ambulance, mechanics and sweeper lorries. Water stops are also provided along the route of the ride and a grand luncheon is waiting for cyclists when they complete their ride.
The Ride is limited to 600 riders and registration is now open. The closing date for registration is on 11 November 2012 or when we reach 600 entries.
