Remembering Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) through Maulidur Rasul

21 November 2018

Malakoff Corporation Berhad organised two Ceramah Perdana in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration, at Masjid Khairul Jariah, Segari, Perak and at Malakoff Academy of Excellence Auditorium, KLHQ on 21 November 2018 and 22 November 2018, respectively.

The Ceramah in Segari, presented by Ustaz Ebit Lew, attracted nearly 500 locals from the communities in Manjung and Sitiawan.

In his talk, Ustaz Ebit narrated heart-warming stories of the life of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and requested the audience to reflect on the sacrifices of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and his companions for their love of Islam.

In this modern world where the family institution is slowly deteriorating, Ustaz Ebit encouraged the audience to take Rasulullah (S.A.W) as their role model, especially on how Rasulullah (S.A.W) nurtured and treated his family and companions (sahabahs) with love and compassion.

He also reminded them to be guided by the verses of the Quran and the Hadith that were left by Rasulullah (S.A.W) “to keep them on track in following the essence of Islam.”

At the end of the talk, the audience embraced one another in a show of love for their fellow Muslims, as how Rasulullah (S.A.W) treated his companions.

At KLHQ, the Ceramah was presented by Ustaz Haji Dzulkarnain Hamzah, a prominent speaker who was also a jury on the “Imam Muda 2” reality show. Ustaz Dzulkarnain related the history of Maulidur Rasul’s celebration, which was first celebrated during the reign of Sultan Abu Said Muzhaffar Kukabri, the ruler of Ibril in Iraq, 660 years after the Prophet’s death. At that time, they celebrated by reciting and singing poetry and songs composed to honour Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

In line with the theme, “Cinta Kepada Rasulullah Tanda Kesempurnaan Iman”, Ustaz Dzulkarnain narrated that the Prophet was sent by Allah (S.W.T) to perfect Islam during a time when man’s tauhid (i.e. the belief in one God) had deviated and was at its lowest. Rasulullah (S.A.W) had corrected their wrongful practices and successfully led his faithful companions in several wars in the quest of liberating Mecca from the disbelievers.

“As followers of the Prophet, we must practice his Sunnah as a sign of our love for him, and for his sacrifices in spreading the religion of Islam to all,” he concluded.

The Ceramah ended with recitations of the Selawat led by Ustaz Dzulkarnain.
