Suriati Mohammad Mokhtar

Suriati Mohammad Mokhtar, a Malaysian professional with a rich academic background. She earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing & MIS, as well as a Business Administration degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in the United States.

In March 2023, Suriati joined Malakoff as the Head of Corporate Communications and later took charge of the Group Communications & Branding department on June 1, 2023.

With over 24 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing and branding, she has worked across various industries, including environmental solutions, IT, Telecommunications, R&D, and FMCG.

Before joining Malakoff, Suriati held the position of Head of Corporate Communications & Branding at Alam Flora Sdn. Bhd, a subsidiary of Malakoff, from 2018 to 2023. Prior to that, she was transferred from Alam Flora Environmental Solutions (AFES) after serving as the Head of Corporate Planning. She has successfully carried out strategic brand transformation for Alam Flora Group to become the leader in sustainability and environmental solutions company whereby, both Alam Flora and AFES were honored with prestigious industry awards at both national and regional levels.

During her time at DiGi Telecommunications, Suriati played a vital role in leading the company's groundbreaking marketing initiatives. She also gained valuable international project management and communication skills while working with renowned organizations such as WAITRO, UNIDO, UNDP, JICA, and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft during her tenure at SIRIM Berhad.

In her current role as Head of Group Communications & Branding at Malakoff, Suriati is responsible for devising and executing strategic corporate communications, corporate branding, and corporate affairs initiatives across the entire Malakoff Group. Her primary focus is to position Malakoff as a leading player in energy generation, environment, and waste management sectors.
