Wirazone had its first event with its customers on 9th August, 2008. It was successfully held at Taman Alam @ Natures Park, Kuala Selangor. Being in operation since the year 2000, it was about time Wirazone came up with an activity that involves its customers and where Wirazoners will be able to bridge the gap with its customers and mingle with them.

This event was sponsored and organized by Malakoff and Wirazone, in support of Malaysia Nature Society. The idea of having the activity at the Natures Park was in line with Malakoff’s CSR objective to support non profit organization on its effort for the environment. It was a one-day event that started from 8.30am and ended at 6.00pm, but we had enthusiastic customers who arrived as early as 7.45am!

In Kuala Lumpur Sentral, the promotion for the event started in early July 2008 where flyers were distributed to all customers in Kuala Lumpur Sentral to notify them of the event. From 29th July to 1st August 2008, a booth was set up at the Lobby of Plaza Sentral (next to Gloria Jeans) to attract more customers for the event and also to create awareness of who Wirazone is and its nature of business in Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

The booth was manned by staff from Customer Service Department and from Malaysian Nature Society (MNS). At the same time, there were buntings strategically placed along the walkway to Sooka Sentral, Lobbies of Stesen Sentral Kuala Lumpur and Plaza Sentral as well to attract more participation. However, due to certain limitation, the participation was limited to 100 people on a first-come-first-serve basis. On the day itself, 70 people turned up including staff, excluding the volunteers from MNS.

Amongst the activities organized were the Mangrove Talk and Walk, Mangrove Boat Rides, Photography Talk, Nature Crafts Activity and Coloring Contest for children.

Wirazone would like to extend its gratitude to all Wirazone staffs, the Corporate Services Department, Sub Contractors of Wirazone, the Admin Department and not forgetting our Practical Trainees for their support throughout this event. It was a great and valuable experience for all of us in Wirazone and we hope to have more events like this in the near future!
