Malakoff Corporation Berhad recently organized its annual Malakoff Sports Canival hosted by its site office, Lumut Power Plant in Perak.

During the two-day event, 357 employees from Malakoff’s sites located in Prai, Lumut, Tanjung Bin and Port Dickson as well as from Kuala Lumpur headquarters went head-to-head against each other in 14 outdoor and indoor sports.

This Sports Carnival also saw the first participation for staff of Port Dickson Power Plant since joining the Malakoff family on 1 May 2014.

The competition started on Friday with golf, go kart, badminton, football and table tennis, followed by the remaining outdoor and indoor games on Saturday, held at venues in Lumut and Manjung.

It was a close fight between the defending champion, Lumut Power Plant and KL HQ team. After all results were tabulated, in the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship, fellow colleagues gave a raucous cheer to the KL HQ team who unseated Lumut Power Plant to clinch the championship trophy.
