Malakoff Organises Its First-Ever ‘Amazing Hunt 2023’

16 December 2023

On 16 December 2023, Malakoff Corporation Berhad (“Malakoff”) organised its first-ever ‘Amazing Hunt 2023’, a treasure hunt race involving Malakoff and its subsidiary, Alam Flora staff, key stakeholders, media practitioners and Key Opinion Leaders (“KOLs”). The event was aimed at creating and reinforcing awareness on Malakoff’s new brand identity and business pillars encompassing Malakoff Green Solutions, Malakoff Environmental Solutions and Malakoff Energy. Beyond that, it was also aimed to foster positive working relationships among all participants.

The race featured 24 groups, each comprising four participants. All contestants convened at Plaza Sentral lobby at 7:00 am for registration and a thorough race briefing conducted by the event coordinator. Subsequently, they were provided with three sets of questions and one set of questions for their task at Fasiliti Inovasi Kitar Semula (“FIKS”), Putrajaya, which was given to the teams a day before the event. It was mandatory for each group to address all questions before reaching their final checkpoint. Just before the race kicked off towards the first checkpoint, Malakoff's Chief Financial Officer Encik Nazersham Mansor had the honour of officially flagging off the exciting event, accompanied by Malakoff’s Head of Group Communications and Branding, Puan Suriati Mohammad Mokhtar.

As the race commenced, participants were required to collaborate in solving one set of in-car quizzes on Malakoff and two sets of quizzes at the checkpoints in Bangi and in Putrajaya. To get the correct answers, they had to solve the questions provided by the organiser before submitting the answers at the final checkpoint, located at FIKS in Putrajaya. Here, they were required to gather and weigh all their recyclable items and extra points would be given to the team that managed to get the highest recycling selling price. Subsequently, participants concluded the race and made their way to the Sunset Glashaus in Marina Putrajaya for a lunch buffet and a prize giving ceremony.

The winners were divided into two categories, which were Media and Open categories. For media, Team 2 from Bloggers emerged as the champion with total points of 112 out of 120 points, while Team 12 (Jejaka Suci) from the Ministry of Energy Transition and Utilities claimed the Open category with 118 points out of 120 points. The medals were handed over by Malakoff’s Senior Manager of Group Communications and Branding, Encik Md Yuha Ismail.

This initiative is part of Malakoff’s continuous engagement with its key stakeholders through activities that can further cultivate the spirit of ‘silaturrahim’ while enhancing our working relationship towards fulfilling shared goals and objectives. It is also in line with our commitment towards the UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 12 that ensures sustainable consumption and production patterns and No. 17 that encourages stronger partnerships that will contribute to environmental protection and sustainable development.

We would like to thank everyone involved for the camaraderie and great display of sportsmanship, and we hope to see you again next time.
