Hairuzzaman Sagi serves as the Head of People Division at Malakoff Corporation Berhad, bringing over three decades of leadership experience in human resources. His career spans multiple industries, including semiconductors, manufacturing, oil & gas, engineering, retail, plantation, aviation, and logistics demonstrating agility and adaptability in diverse and dynamic business environments.
Hairuzzaman has led and delivered comprehensive HR and talent strategies, establishing strong collaborations with leading organizations such as SD Guthrie Berhad (formerly known as Sime Darby Plantation), Pos Malaysia, Malaysia Airports, Carrefour, and KUB Malaysia, among others. He is committed to creating strategic value by aligning HR initiatives with business priorities.
A Master’s degree holder in Human Resource Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia(UUM), his experience and exposure span the full HR spectrum, from generalist to strategic business partnering, with deep specialisation in Employee and Industrial Relations, Engagement, Internal Communication, Talent Management, and Learning & Development.
Hairuzzaman's leadership extends internationally through regional leadership roles across Southeast Asia, Africa, and Europe, where he built global acumen, HR strategies and ability to connect people strategies with business imperatives.
Beyond corporate leadership, he has contributed to the national HR and industrial relations landscape through appointments as Panel Member of the Industrial Court, the SOCSO Appellate Court, the National Labour Advisory Council (NLAC) and MAPA Council.
