Malakoff Energy portfolio comprises five thermal power plants in Malaysia with a total generation capacity of 5,342 MW, supplying electricity to Tenaga Nasional Berhad via Power Purchase Agreements, alongside international assets in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. As part of its commitment to a responsible energy transition, Malakoff is progressively greening its thermal operations, including achieving a 2% biomass co-firing rate at the 2,100 MW Tanjung Bin Power Plant, with a target of 15% by 2027. Malakoff Technical Solutions Sdn. Bhd. (MTSSB) supports this effort by providing end-to-end operation and maintenance services, technical advisory, and project execution across local and international energy markets. While progress is ongoing, scaling up these initiatives requires clearer policy frameworks and collaborative support to unlock their full potential in line with the National Energy Transition Roadmap.

With over 24 years of experience and a proven track record in thermal plant development, construction and commissioning, the installation of Large Scale Solar (LSS), Rooftop Solar (RTS) and plant demolition projects, we are now broadening our range of capabilities to encompass Waste-to-Energy (WTE) and Biomass co-firing projects.
