Masleena Hafiza Mahdi is the Acting Head, Corporate Planning at Malakoff Corporation Berhad (Malakoff). She brings over 20 years of corporate experience in publicly listed companies in Malaysia, spanning diverse sectors such as telecommunication, property and most recently, energy and utilities. She joined Malakoff in November 2024. Before joining Malakoff, she served as Head of Investor Relations at Maxis Berhad (Maxis) and earlier held the role of Head of Investor Relations at UEM Sunrise Berhad (UEMS).
Her areas of expertise include stakeholder and investment community management, corporate deal management, policy development and regulatory compliance. She was a member of the Maxis Crisis Council to manage communication crisis at Maxis, and improved Maxis’ FTSE4Good score from 2.4 in 2023 to 3.2 in 2024 via improved sustainability disclosures in its 2024 Integrated Annual Reporting. With UEMS, she led the team to win the Silver Excellence Award at the 2023 National Annual Corporate Report Awards (NACRA) and the Silver Award at the Australasian Reporting Awards and Special Award for Integrated Reporting in Sydney. The team and her were nominated for several categories of the then Malaysia Investor Relations Awards under the Malaysian Investor Relations Association established by Bursa Malaysia.
Masleena is an advocate for sustainability and best practices. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in BA (Hons) International Business Administration from the University of Northumbria at Newcastle, England and was enrolled in the Business Management Programme at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. Masleena is a certified Sustainability and ESG practitioner, as well as a certified Carbon Trading practitioner.
