Contract Manager (Power Plant Project)

Malakoff Corporation Berhad is seeking a highly capable Contract Manager to support large scale power plant development projects. This role will be responsible for managing project related contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and safeguarding the company’s commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of project contracts and agreements
• Provide contractual and commercial support to project teams throughout project execution
• Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, regulatory requirements, and company policies
• Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes where necessary
• Work closely with internal stakeholders including project, legal, procurement, and finance teams
• Maintain proper contract documentation and administration
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in contract management
• Experience in energy, power plant, infrastructure, or large scale EPC projects will be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and project contracting practices
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced project environment
